PACCSAP summary report: Climate in the Pacific

Client: CSIRO | 2015

Climate in the Pacific report

The Pacific-Australia Climate Change Science Adaptation Planning (PACCSAP) Program ran from 2011–14, and involved a range of science, communication and capacity building activities to improve the understanding of the current and future climate of 15 partner countries in the Pacific. The program was managed by the Department of the Environment in collaboration with AusAID, and was delivered by CSIRO and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

At the conclusion of the PACCSAP program, we were engaged to prepare a summary report based on the science and tools developed through PACCSAP and the Pacific Climate Change Science Program (PCCSP) prior to that.

The Climate in the Pacific report is aimed at policy-makers, planners and associated decision-makers in partner countries, so we distilled the technical information into an easily accessible and largely non-technical format.

We drafted the content, edited the final text and managed the production of the report, which involved overseeing design and layout.

The report is available on the Pacific Climate Change Science website.
