Pacific climate change brochures

The Pacific Climate Change Science Program (PCCSP) provided climate science and capacity building to Pacific Island countries from 2009–11. This work was continued from 2011–14 by the Pacific-Australia Climate Change Science Adaptation Planning (PACCSAP) Program. These programs were funded by AusAID, managed by the Department of the Environment and delivered by CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology.

A focus of the PCCSP and PACCSAP programs was making climate information widely accessible in Pacific Island nations. To this end, in 2011 we prepared a suite of climate summary brochures for the 15 PCCSP partner countries that took information from technical summaries and made it accessible for an educated audience but one with limited climate science knowledge.

In 2015, we were called on to update these brochures following the release of a new technical report. As well as updating the content, we also managed the production of the new brochures.

The brochures are available on the Pacific Climate Change Science website.
