Climate change and its impacts on water supply and demand in Sydney report

The New South Wales Government commisioned a comprehensive study to analyse the potential impact of climate change on Sydney’s water demand. The technical information from the study had to be summarised for policy makers.

We distilled information from a series of multi-author technical reports to prepare a single final summary report that explained the purpose behind the Sydney Water Balance Study, the results and learnings from the study and the conclusions that could be drawn from the study.

We worked with a wide range of policy and technical contributors to draft a scientifically robust yet policy-relevant report that could be used by water planners to plan for these impacts into the future and to inform future iterations of the Metro Water Plan.

The report is available on the NSW Government Metropolitan Water Directorate website.
